Thula Thula after Covid

The last 20 months have been the toughest since Thula Thula opened its doors some 22 years ago. With the COVID pandemic, the collapse of the domestic and international tourism trade, lockdowns and travel restrictions most of our income had simply ceased.

During these 20 months we have however seen a rise in poaching and have had to increase our security for the game reserve. Maintaining our fences, roads and general infrastructure had to carry on, and the safety of our wildlife has always been our priority at Thula Thula.

With our expansion project for our elephant habitat, we now have had to increase again our security and antipoaching team to patrol and secure a much larger perimeter, and much more land to protect our wildlife.

The Thula Thula Wild Team would like to thank you for your ongoing support towards our conservation efforts.
