Hello from Gobisa, one of the guests' big favorites.
Gobisa is a rescue from elephant ride safari and joined the Thula Thula herd in 2010.
After an attempted escape after his arrival, (they all seem to try…) he was brought back to his new home and settled in as our dominant male.
He was our previous Matriarch Frankie favorite companion and was devastated when she passed away in January 2021. Gobisa enjoys getting to meet our new guests during game drives and tends to be over friendly with some very close encounters.

SISSI OUR MIRACLE BABY RHINO TURNS 4 YEARS OLD
Birthday month for Sissi, who will be four years old on 26th of March. She is our surprise baby rhino born during Covid, two months after the death of her sister Lisa, who passed due to a virus within 48 hours in January 2020.
From her earlier days, she had already demonstrated a strong character, courage and determination.
Despite her young age, Rambo our male rhino has shown a strong interest in our little Sissi, and as per the report from our game ranger, we could be expecting some offsprings.

SURPRISE VISIT OF THE HERD AT THE HOUSE
The most spectacular procession of our elephant family.
Nana leading the herd, followed by her daughter Nandi and her whole family, while Marula, Frankie’s daughter and now leading after Frankie’s passing, with her family below Nana.
Our legendary Nana is turning 60 this year and we shall celebrate her birthday when dropping the fences with the new community land in May, adding a further 1000 hectares to Thula Thula land.
